Diary of Restless Thoughts 1Today was no different than any other day I've had to go through for the last 3 months. I woke up in a daze. Muscles aching, chest tightness, grogginess, and letting all feeling of sleepiness and forgotten dreams drift away. The hot shower did nothing to make the air feel any less dense. The water ran out of my hair like red wine. When the commander called retreat I returned to my cell. As though they were made from the finest clouds in the sky, the blankets were able to being the comfort I needed as I slipped out of existence. While beyond the rainbow, I ran vigorously. Untitled - Part 1Somewhere between the agonizing nights and suffocating days, I came to a realization that the difference between here and the real world was the simple fact that here, I could be free. Here was a place I’d often refer to as a world much like that of how Neverland was for Peter Pan and his lost boys. But here, there were no red-skinned Indians, no Captain Hook and his highly feared pirate crew, and unfortunately, there was not even a small pixie capable of letting us fly by specks of her flight dust. WhiteThis room, it feels so small. The blank white walls tower around me. It’s holding me in. The bed is rock hard on my back. I don’t understand. A mirror in the corner of the room lies in pieces, smashed from the bloody fist at my side. Why? There was a face of a monster staring at me earlier. Its eyes were black as night, furious and haunting. It burned through me into my soul. I lashed out at it, screaming in silence. There was no pain as the glass shrieked during its demise.
